It Takes a Village to Support Our Youth
Welcome to our Cobb Care Portal, the central place where you can stay in the know and help us fill the gaps to support our foster care children. While many items needed by our foster children can be provided by the state, there is a lot that cannot be afforded. We depend on you, our community, to help supply these items.
Three ways you can support our foster children and their families:
- Amazon Wish List – Purchase one or more basic items for our Foster Care Supply Closet. These items are listed below on our Amazon Wish List.
- Specific Items Needed – Periodically, a foster care family needs donations of a specific item for a child. We’ll specify these items below as the needs arise.
- Monetary Donation – We always appreciate monetary donations which we can use as the need arises to help our children and their foster care families.

Donations will help our children with things such as; specialized medical equipment, helmets, sports or other extra curricular activities, among many other things.
All donations made to Cobb DFCS are tax deductible.
Some of our children come into foster care with nothing, so we stock a Foster Care Supply Closet with basics items they typically need. If you would like to help keep our supply closet stocked so we can provide the children with these basics, visit our Amazon Wish List where you can purchase these items.
Amazon Wish List purchases are automatically shipped to our office, so you don’t need to be concerned with getting the items to us.
Occasions arise when families are in need of items that the Cobb Department of Family and Children Services cannot provide. This is an area where we really need your help. It could be as simple as donating a bed for a foster family or anything else. As these needs arise, we will list them here.
Items Needed:
- Diapers
- Wipes
- Toiletries
- New pajamas
- New or gently used luggage
- Used laptops or tablets
