About One Cobb Village
Cobb County Department of Family and Children Services is a part of Georgia’s Department of Human Services. We are focused on families and the welfare of the children. Our very own One Cobb Village is put together by the Volunteer Services Department of Cobb DFCS.
On average, Cobb County DFCS supports around 500 kids in foster care throughout the year. Our goal is to work with families to safely and quickly achieve permanency for our foster children, although sometimes this can take upwards of two years. During their time in foster care, we want to provide the necessary items to allow the children to thrive.
With the help of our community, we can ensure each child has what they need to succeed.
We have created a few programs that provide additional support to the children and families involved with Cobb County DFCS: Secret Santa, Smart Box, Foster Youth Graduation support, Back to School Support, Nanny Brigade, and the Cobb Care Portal. Secret Santa is our biggest program, with our planning beginning in July. Our goal is to provide Christmas presents to all our children in foster care.
