Support for Foster Care Children
We Seek to Improve the Lives of Children in Cobb County Foster Care
Cobb County Department of Family & Children Services (DFCS) works with families who have received a referral of child abuse and/or neglect by providing services that enhance the families’ capacities to ensure child safety and well-being. For some children, even with these additional services, they cannot be maintained in their home and must enter Foster Care. Children in foster care who have been removed from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect often experience higher levels of trauma and require additional support. To provide further support to the children and the families served by Cobb County DFCS, we have created a variety of programs that run throughout the year so members of the Cobb Community can share with those in need.
Programs to Support Our Youth
Our programs provide opportunities for you to better the lives of Cobb County foster children. We love to focus on celebrating and supporting our youth. Although they have been through some hardships, our programs allow you to show them that their community cares about them.
Donate
We depend on our community to help fill the gap in supporting our youth in foster care. Visit our Cobb Care Portal to find out about our current needs.
Volunteer
There are times throughout the year when we need volunteers to help us serve our foster care children and their families. We always say it takes a village to support our children.
